MIGRATION · 2–4 WEEKS · NOTHING 404s

Switching is the part we've made easiest.

Every page. Every photo. Every meet. Every record. Every old link. We carry it all across — and while we do, your current site keeps serving members without a hiccup.

What comes across. What stays intact.

📄

Pages + copy

Every page from your current site. Formatting preserved, images relinked, image alt text carried.

📷

Photos + media

Team photos, meet galleries, pool images. Uploaded, resized, and served from R2 with lazy loading.

🏊

Meet history

Every meet, every heat, every result. Program-order records rebuilt from the source data.

👥

Roster + members

Current USMS roster imported. Renewal history preserved where the source has it.

Waivers on file

Signed waivers migrated with their signatures + dates intact. Auditable from day one.

🔗

Every old link

301 redirects for every URL from your current site. Search engines find you. Bookmarks work. Nothing 404s.

How the two-to-four weeks break down.

Your current site stays live the entire time. You review at every checkpoint.

WEEK 1

Discovery + audit

We crawl your current site, catalog every page + link + asset, and hand you an audit doc with the migration plan. You approve the scope before any work starts.

  • Kickoff call (30 min)
  • URL + asset catalog delivered
  • Migration plan signed off

WEEKS 2–3

Build + preview

We provision your tenant, apply your brand tokens, migrate content, wire records + roster, and stand up a preview URL. You + the board review before anything ships.

  • Tenant provisioned
  • Preview URL for the board
  • Content review pass

WEEK 4

Cutover + monitor

DNS flips at the time you choose. 301 redirects go live. We monitor error rates + old-link hits for 14 days. You watch your members not notice a thing.

  • DNS + SSL cutover
  • 301 redirect map live
  • 14-day post-launch watch

MIGRATION GUARANTEES

What we sign for.

No downtime

Your current site stays live until DNS flips. Cutover happens at the time you choose — no 3 a.m. surprises.

No lost links

Every URL from the current site gets a 301 redirect. If we miss one, we fix it same-day.

No data loss

Every page, photo, meet, record, member. If a source file is missing from your current site, we surface it before build, not after cutover.

No hostage-taking

Your data is yours. Full export any time, any format. If you leave, you leave with everything.

THE 404 PROMISE

Every old link earns a redirect.

We crawl your current site, extract every URL, map each one to its new home, and ship the 301 redirect map with the cutover. Search engines don't lose you. Bookmarks still work. Emails from 2018 with meet links still load.

redirect-map.csv 247 rows
/index.php?page=meets&id=88 /meets/2019-summer-splash
/wp/records /records
/gallery-2021/ /photos/2021
/wp/waivers.pdf /members/waiver
/coaches/bio-hansen /coaches/erin-hansen

…plus 242 more, one per URL on your current site

Migration questions.

Doesn't matter. We crawl the live site — the underlying stack is irrelevant. Content + structure + URLs come across regardless.
Yes — as long as they're accessible somewhere (source files, exports, spreadsheets, scraped pages). We surface any gaps at the audit stage so you decide before build starts.
Yes — that's baked into Weeks 2–3. You get a preview URL, review with the board, and only sign off on cutover once the site meets your bar.
We revise. Brand tokens are yours to tune (colors, fonts, layout choices). If a page didn't come across the way you wanted, we redo it. Migration includes the polish.
No. The 301 redirect map preserves link equity. Search engines follow the redirects and update their indexes over the first 4–6 weeks. Rankings hold; in most cases they improve because the new site is faster.

Your club deserves a better lane.
